    Rise appoints former Mace and UBS project director

    Nigel Morley joins the consultancy after more than a decade as director at UBS, where he led the project to create the multinational investment bank’s new headquarters in the CIty of London. Mr Morley led the 5 Broadgate project from inception in 2009 through to completion in 2016. Prior to his time at UBS, he spent nine years at management consultant Catalyst. In the 1990s he worked as a project director for Mace, alongside Mace founder and current Rise chairman Bob White. Rise was established in 2011 by Mr White, former managing director at project manager PDCM Gareth Stapleton, and Mace director of construction management services Ian Eggers. The firm’s current projects include Amazon’s UK headquarters at Principal Place, the refurbishment of the Royal Opera House and the Bow Street Hotel in Central London. Mr Stapleton, Rise chief executive, said: “I can think of no-one better to welcome to our leadership team. “Nigel’s global experience with UBS Group Corporate Services combined with his 40 -year career with Accenture, Mace and Catalyst among others, combined with his strong core values, make him the perfect choice to lead Rise operations.” Mr White added: “It is never easy to find the right balance of skill and personality to fit seamlessly into a tight management team in an SME environment.
